I now have a cool air humidifier which works with a filter that wicks the water up so the fan will blow out the moisture. I’ve put in a new filter and still I refill it only after a couple of days. It’s about 1 1/2 gallon capacity. Honeywell, 5 years old. I think it used to put out a lot more water…so I’m in the market for one that will do a much better job.
I should have added that I do not have forced air. I have hot water baseboard so cannot go through the furnace. I need a portable unit. I am wondering if the wicking filter methodology is the problem and whether there is another design that I should look for.
